Business Continuity

Securing Your IP Records

Information technology is critical to the running of our business. The increased use of information technology by businesses generally means that we, like others, rely both on software and hardware systems as being integral to what we do.

Business Continuity is the ability to respond to a major incident by implementing a plan to restore critical business functions as quickly as possible.

  • Computer records:
  • All data is backed up every night with the most recent saved data stored offsite. Dedicated disaster recovery servers are located in our London office and would become active in the event of a major incident involving the offices in Bristol.

  • Computer viruses:
  • All Stevens Hewlett & Perkins’ computer systems are protected by the latest security software.

  • Archived paper files:
  • These are stored remotely from our London and Bristol premises and are maintained by nationally recognised storage specialists.

  • Telecommunications recovery:
  • We have a number of telephone and fax lines. In the event of a disaster both of our offices are equipped to provide cover.

  • Network recovery:
  • Stevens Hewlett & Perkins has invested heavily in its infrastructure with dedicated links between its offices. These come with an excellent guaranteed up time and tight fix times. This means we will always be able to provide you with a seamless service.
