There is no doubting the value and benefit charities bring to the wider community. Now, more than ever, good causes will be reliant on the assistance and support charitable fundraising brings.
Like many firms we have supported numerous appeals over the years, whether through direct sponsorship or by championing staff and clients in their own fundraising activities.
We now have a more focused approach through our annual SH&P charitable appeal.
This offers our staff the opportunity to both nominate and vote for specific local charities in September each year; one for our Bristol office and one for London. Throughout the following 12 months we organise regular fundraising events and initiatives which engage our staff and clients alike.
In addition to putting our hands in our pockets we also hope that our annual appeal will raise greater awareness of our chosen charities. This year we are supporting The Jessie May Trust and 500 for London.
The Jessie May Trust provides a free palliative care service for children and young people with a terminal illness. 500 for London is an organisation raising money for three London based funds – Youth at Risk, Violence against Women and Urban Greening.
