Peter graduated from Exeter University where he worked on a doctorial thesis relating to economic development of the south west of England. He qualified as a trade mark attorney in 1994, and joined the firm in 1997. He became a Partner in 2005. Peter is responsible for the worldwide brand management of a number of the firm’s largest clients. He handles trade mark work for household names in industry sectors as diverse as publishing, footwear, pet care, toiletries, electronics, entertainment and music. He also acts for a well-known charitable trust associated with His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales. Peter is co-author of the text book Trade Marks Law and Practice (2nd edition, 2006) by Alison Firth, Gary Lea and Peter Cornford.
