After obtaining an honours degree in business studies at the University of Central Lancashire, Jon’s work in the trade mark field began in 1990 as an Examiner at the UK Patent Office. He joined the firm’s Bristol office in 1996 and qualified as a trade mark attorney in 2002. Jon is responsible for some of the firm’s largest trade mark clients and has considerable experience in industries as diverse as tobacco, human foodstuffs, finance and electronics. He is engaged daily in all aspects of contentious and non-contentious trade mark work, including searching, filing and prosecuting applications, opposition, revocation and infringement work.
