TRADE MARK ATTORNEY – Bristol
Start Date – Immediately
The position
A vacancy has now arisen for an experienced Trade Mark Attorney to join our team. The successful applicant will form part of our trade mark group, providing the full range of trade mark services to a variety of UK and overseas-based clients, from individuals to FTSE 100 companies; they will be given early responsibility for a diverse and interesting range of trade mark work and portfolios.
The skills required
The post requires high quality technical skills and proven practical experience in all aspects of UK, European and international trade mark matters – from trade mark clearance to filing programmes, licensing arrangements, due diligence and third party negotiations.
The ability to provide sound, commercially based advice to high profile clients and to deliver the highest standard of client care is essential, whether assisting lay persons or in-house IP professionals. The successful applicant must be able to manage their time and billing efficiently and be highly-organised. Excellent written and oral communication skills are also required, as is the need for accuracy and the ability to write succinctly in a logical and structured way with excellent grammar and punctuation. Good interpersonal skills are also essential for this post.
