SH&P has a long and proud tradition of supporting local charities in the South West.
Over the years our staff have raised money for lots of good causes by holding events such as bake sales, plant sales, dress-down days and sweepstakes. Our clients also regularly pitch in at our annual golf day. The substantial proceeds of these events have been passed on to plenty of very well-deserving causes.
We are delighted to announce that for the next two years we will be supporting the Winston’s Wish charity, which is based in Cheltenham and has recently opened a new office in Bristol.
Winston’s Wish was founded in 1992 as the UK’s first childhood bereavement charity. Since that time it has worked tirelessly to help provide specialist support for bereaved children, their families and the professionals who support them. The charity continues to lead the way in providing specialist child bereavement support services across the UK, including in-depth therapeutic help in individual, group and residential settings.
SH&P’s Jon Welfoot and Kalei McHugh recently paid a visit to Kerry Waite (Regional Fundraising and Events Officer) and Paul Moore (Head of Corporate & Community Engagement) at the Winston Wish HQ in Cheltenham to gain a direct insight into the fantastic work being done and to formally kick-off the partnership .
Let the charity fundraising begin!
