Act Now to Record Your UK Address for Service

As from 1st January 2024, it will be necessary to record a UK address for service where new contentious proceedings are launched against a UK comparable trade mark or re-registered design.

We advise strongly that trade mark owners act now to safeguard their rights by recording a UK address for service.

Having joined the firm in 1982, Robert is an experienced Patent and Trade Mark Attorney. In addition to handling patent and trade mark applications for a wide range of clients, he has acquired particular expertise in the recordal of intellectual property assignments in the UK and abroad.

Robert has handled patents for inventions in the fields of biochemistry, biotechnology, chemistry, pharmaceuticals and materials science in the UK, Europe and around the world. He is also experienced in all aspects of trade mark rights through registration and at common law.

Over the years, Robert has acted for clients of all types and sizes – including individuals, universities, small businesses and major companies – helping to protect their intellectual property in the UK and around the world. He has particular experience in the management and recordal of large patent and trade mark portfolio assignments in the UK and overseas.

Robert lives in London and plays a prominent role in the firm’s business development activities in the South East of the country.
